Portonave, one of Brazil’s leading container terminals, has ordered 30 electric Terberg terminal tractors as part of a major investment programme focused on sustainability and future growth.

The vehicles will be manufactured at Terberg in Malaysia and will be introduced in phases, with the full fleet expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2027.

The new electric terminal tractors will replace part of Portonave’s diesel-powered fleet, supporting the terminal’s efforts to reduce emissions while enhancing operational efficiency. The investment marks another significant step in Portonave’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable container handling operations.

The order forms part of a wider terminal modernisation programme aimed at expanding capacity, improving productivity, and preparing Portonave for the next generation of port operations.
