Danish port relies on Terberg

Copenhagen Malmö Port has long been using Terberg equipment and recently received nine RT283s.

Teis Lind, CMP Purchasing Manager commented “We have had very good experiences with Terberg terminal tractors. In our opinion, they’re the best on the market. They’re virtually indestructible, have plenty of power and offer excellent cab comfort. Cab comfort is crucial during long shifts. Our drivers need optimal working conditions, especially when many trailers have to be shuttled quickly while ships are docked. That requires precision and focus, and comfort makes a real difference.” The tractors handle up to 400 trailers and translifters every day, transferring them between RoRo ships, trains and storage areas around the terminal which covers over 250,000 m².

The machines are leased from N.C. Nielsen.“Operational leasing makes business sense for us, mainly due to the financial model and N.C. Nielsen’s strong service setup. Their service technicians can be on site quickly, and we’ve built a solid collaboration over the years – with shared workshop space at the Malmö port and open technical dialogue.”
