Are you a skilled and dedicated professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? We have an engaging role for you at Dennis Eagle! As a Field Service Controller, you'll efficiently coordinate field service activities, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Call Handling: Be the first point of contact on the call desk, coordinate customer calls, and escalate disruptions to the Senior Service Controller. Communicate professionally at all levels, record breakdowns and job details, and keep customers updated on engineer attendance.
- Warranty & Chargeable Field Repairs: Prioritise field activities, issue job numbers, coordinate parts delivery, check warranty coverage, obtain order numbers for non-warranty repairs, and manage vehicle recall campaigns.
- Field Service Administration: Collate engineer documentation, finalise parts used and hours charged, update engineers' daily hours, type up reports, coordinate return visits, close completed jobs, and submit policy claims.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: Knowledge of call handling, administration, and technical understanding. Previous experience in a similar role, customer service experience, GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English, good planning and organisation skills, ability to communicate effectively, work independently or as part of a team, proficiency in Excel and Word, problem-solving skills, ability to maintain high output levels, and stay focused under pressure.
- Desirable: Previous experience in the motor trade, knowledge of the refuse industry, and experience in engineer planning.
