HZ Logistics boosts efficiency with Terberg yard tractors

HZ Logistics in Maasdijk specialises in temperature-controlled transport of flowers and vegetables throughout Europe. They use Terberg tractors to shunt semi-trailers between their warehouse and the yard and truck wash.

Dominique van Duijne of HZ explained: “The Terberg tractors offer a number of advantages in our operations. We use the speed limiter because there are a lot of pedestrians on our site. That is a real safety benefit. Visibility from the cab is also excellent which contributes a lot to safety. Coupling and uncoupling trailers is much quicker than with road tractors. You simply take a step or two from the cab to deal with the hoses, that speeds our process up. Terberg Connect means that we can see all error messages and maintenance notifications on the computer and in the cab. And Terberg can see them too, so they can arrange the required maintenance actions. HZ currently has three of their tractors, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we are going to get more.”
