What you will do
As the Global Product Manager at Terberg Special Vehicles, you will be the strategic owner of a product portfolio, driving its global success from concept to market leadership. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure the product meets customer needs, aligns with company goals, and maintains a competitive edge in the global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define, prioritize and execute the global product strategy and roadmap for Terberg’s special vehicle lines, supporting our commercial teams across the globe and the 3 main production locations based in Benschop the Netherlands, Johor Malaysia, Columbus Mississippi USA.
- Conduct market analysis, customer research, and competitor benchmarking to identify trends, opportunities and possible new applications.
- Translate customer needs into product /aftermarket requirements and business cases for each of the key market segments per region; Distribution Centers, Ports and Terminals, RoRo, Recycling, Heavy Industries.
Lifecycle Management
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life. Support the establishment of Total Cost of Ownership models.
- Monitor product performance and profitability, and initiate improvements or phase-outs as needed.
- Drive modularity of product and options
- Cross-functional Leadership
- Collect the voice of the customer within the organization working closely with our regional commercial leadership teams. Structure and prioritize the input for the NPI and R&D team.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and sales to ensure timely and successful product launches.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Engage with key customers, dealers, and partners to gather insights and validate product direction.
- Represent Terberg at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits globally.
- Create and deliver content for Sales and Product training.
Innovation & Sustainability
- Drive innovation in vehicle design, automation, and sustainability in line with Terberg’s strategic goals.
- Support the transition to zero-emission and autonomous vehicle technologies.
Who are you and what do you bring?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial vehicles.
- Proven track record of managing complex products in international markets.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%).
