Internship Assignment System & Software Engineering

The system & software department is looking for a bachelor of engineering student to automate the configuration and calibration process of the steering controller.

The Assignment

 

The goal of the assignment is automate the configuration and the calibration process of the steering controller used in our drive by wire vehicle.

Assignment topics:

  • Creating a script to flash the application and write a parameter file to the steering controller.
  • Creating a program to read the calibration instructions from the display (UDS communication) and translate this into calibration instructions for the steering controller (CAN-bus communication).
  • Reading the calibration status of the steering controller and sending this to the display.

In the beginning you will get be to the vehicle to learn more about the steering system. Later you will test the script and program to verify if it is working correctly. Most of the time you will work at the office in a team of software engineers. These colleagues will guide you through the process.

Who are you?


Preferably you are a bachelor of engineering student interested in software development, CAN-bus communication and automation. You are a go-getter and a team player.
