We are looking for a student who wants to undertake an internship programme at the System and Software department.
Developing a portable End of Line (EoL) test device to test the railway functions of the new generation road/rail tractor (RR283), which is a vehicle that can operate on railway tracks as well as roads. The Railway functions controller for the RR283 is installed by a bodybuilder after it has been manufactured by Terberg. This means that the vehicles do not have the Rail functions controller installed yet when it is undergoing the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). This controller can request various railway related vehicle systems to be controlled. The EoL tester has to simulate all CAN-signals and hardwired outputs of the Railway functions controller. So, PDI can verify that the railway related vehicle systems are functioning properly before it is going on transport to the bodybuilder.
During the internship, you will determine the requirements, create a design for the EoL tester and will realize the design in a working product. A core interface device for these communications will be provided by Terberg. It is up to you to integrate this device in the EoL tester and develop the a End of Line test sequence.
During your internship you can learn more about the following topics:
You are a student who is enrolled in a bachelor’s Automotive or Embedded System Engineering degree.
Furthermore, you are:
Did you know that the Terberg Group already exists for 150 years and received the royal predicate in 2019? We are proud of that!
