Internship Assignment - EoL Charge Function Tester

Location: Benschop

We are looking for a student who wants to undertake an internship programme at the System and Software department.

The Assignment

Developing a portable End of Line (EoL) test device which can test the charge functions of the Terberg Electric vehicles. The EoL tester will be used to simulate a High Voltage charger and provide diagnostic information about the vehicle’s charger communication interface.

During the internship, you will determine the requirements, create a design for the EoL tester and will develop the design to a working product. The EoL tester and the Electric Vehicles will communicate using the DIN70121 or ISO15118 charge protocol. A core interface device for these communications protocols will be provided by Terberg. It is up to you to integrate this device in an EoL tester and develop an End of Line test sequence.

During your internship you can learn more about the following topics:

  • Working using the Agile/scrum methodology
  • Creating and managing requirements in a requirement management system
  • Development using the V-Model project management methodology
  • Electrical hardware design development
  • Software development for embedded platforms
  • DIN70121 and ISO15118 charging protocols
  • Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles

Who are you?

Preferably you are a bachelor of engineering student interested in Automotive or Embedded System Engineering.

Furthermore, you are:

  • Ambitious, motivated and independent
  • Focussed on problem solving, with good analytical skills
  • Passionate and interested in new technologies, especially Electric Vehicle technology and new developments
  • A good communicator
  • A team player

What has Terberg to offer you?
